Notice Description

  CANPREPP Web Tool (Second Iteration)

CANPREPP seeks to provide innovative approaches for virtual residency program promotion that will improve access for candidates and programs and lead to enhanced career decision making. AFMC will enhance support for students in their career selection and transition into residency by delivering a national web tool for students to learn about residency programs and opportunities.

Given the immediate need to support learners in the 2021 R1 match cohort, AFMC publicly launched a minimally viable first iteration of CANPREPP on November 26, 2020. To access CANPREPP, please click here:

Featuring over 500 program pages with content ranging from key program highlights and facts about cities/communities to resident photos and videos, learners are now able to browse program pages broadly and access the National Calendar of Events. CANPREPP currently features program pages from all seventeen Canadian faculties of medicine, with programs adding and updating content daily.

To improve the tool in time for the 2022 R1 Match period, AFMC is seeking proponent(s) to build upon the design established in the first iteration by creating a new web tool that will encompass improvements to features and functionality within the first iteration as well as adding new specifications as outlined in Appendix A - I. Detailed List of Service Requirements

AFMC is looking for one or more off-the-shelf solutions to be configured to meet our needs, not a custom build. If multiple solutions are utilized, all should be able to integrate via API or other mechanism and appear seamless from a user-experience perspective.
