Notice Description

  City of Dawson Creek Sanitary Sewer Improvements

The City of Dawson Creek invites tenders for upgrades to an existing section of sanitary sewer piping. The section of existing sanitary sewer extends form Mile 0 Rotary Park to the intersection of 17 St. and 99 Ave. The sanitary sewer will direct sewage flows by gravity to the trunk sewer on 17 St. The scope of the work comprises of replacement of the existing 1,336 m of 300 mm diameter vitrified clay tile sanitary sewer with new 450 diameter DR 35 PVC sewer.

The project will also include:
-Tie in to and re-benching of existing manholes,
-Supply and installation of 11 sanitary services to property line,
-Supply and installation of two new manhole chambers.

Within these works, approximately 30 metres of the gravity sanitary sewer is constructed beneath Highway 97 (John Hart Highway) requiring jacking pits and carrier pipe crossing of approximately 20 and 30 meters in length respectively. All works include pipeline testing, asphalt, boulevard restoration and associated

The City's scheduled date for substantial completion is September 11, 2015. All prices shall be good for the completion of the work.
A tender's site meeting will be held on June 9, 2015 at 1 pm at the City Hall. Tender forms, plans and specifications are available electronically on BC Bid and MERX.
