Notice Description

  Southwest Calgary Ring Road Design, Build, Finance Operate

Alberta Transportation is seeking parties interested in submitting Qualifications for the Southwest leg of the Calgary Ring Road in Calgary, Alberta.

The project will be procured through a Design, Build, Finance, Operate process. The infrastructure components to be undertaken by the Contractor include, but are not limited to, the following:

Design and construction of:

• Approximately 31 km of new six lane and eight lane divided freeway;

• 14 Interchanges;

• 1 Flyover;

• 1 Grade-separated railway crossing;

• 3 River crossings

A 30 year operating, maintenance, and rehabilitation agreement.

Alberta Transportation will provide partial funding for the project in an amount currently anticipated to be between 50% and 70% of the successful bidder’s capital cost of the project. The successful bidder will be required to supply private financing for the balance of the capital cost of the project.

Firms interested in this project may obtain Request for Qualification documents on or after Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from Alberta Transportation, Tender Administration Section, 1st Flr. Twin Atria Building, 4999 - 98 Ave., Edmonton, AB, Canada, Telephone: (780) 415-1068. E-mail requests may be sent to Nicola Camplin at nicola.camplin@gov.ab.ca.

Hard copy and electronic versions of the RFQ will be available.

A non-refundable fee of $250.00, payable to the Minister of Finance, will be required for each copy of the RFQ requested.

The deadline for submissions is 4:00 p.m. MST, on August 12, 2015.
